How the Meal Calendar Works #

The Meal Calendar feature in Dormefy gives both members and managers a clear overview of the entire month’s meal counts, making meal management easier for everyone. With this bird’s-eye view, managers can track individual member preferences and understand patterns in meal consumption. This feature is especially useful for dormitories where managing meals and preferences across multiple people is key to improving decision-making.

Managers have control over whether to show the Meal Calendar to all members or keep it private. By adjusting the setting in the dorm configuration, managers can either share the meal calendar view with everyone or restrict access to themselves.

How to Access the Meal Calendar #

1. Login to Dormefy:
   Log in using the Dormefy web or Android app.
2. Check the Dashboard:
   As a member or manager, you can view the Meal Calendar in the Meal Calendar row on your dashboard. Simply click the eye icon to access the full calendar view. Keep in mind that whether members can see the meal calendar depends on the dorm setting controlled by the manager.
3. Visibility Control:
   If the manager sets the option to “Yes” in the dorm settings, the meal calendar becomes visible to all members. If set to “No,” only the manager can view the Meal Calendar.

How to Enable Meal Calendar View for All Members (Manager) #

1. Navigate to Dorm Settings:
   On the left sidebar, go to Dormitory > Dorm List.
2. Edit the Specific Dorm:
   If you have multiple dorms, select the specific dorm and click the edit icon on the right side.
3. Enable Meal Calendar for Members:
   In the settings, find the option labeled “Allow Meal Calendar View for Members” and set it to “Yes.”

Save the Settings:
Click the Update button to apply the changes and make the Meal Calendar visible to all members.
