Key Feature Overview: #
Dormitories often have varying meal schedules depending on their specific needs. Dormefy’s Custom Meals feature offers flexibility by allowing dorm managers to enable or disable specific meals such as breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This ensures that only the required meals are tracked and accounted for, helping managers tailor meal options based on the dorm’s nature. By customizing the meal setup, dorm managers can streamline operations and focus only on the meals that matter to their dorm members.
How the Feature Works: #
The Custom Meals feature in Dormefy allows dorm managers to control which meals are available in the dorm. Depending on the dorm’s setup, managers can enable only the meals they need (e.g., lunch and dinner) and disable unnecessary options. Once a meal is disabled, it will no longer be included in the dorm’s meal calculation system, providing a more focused and efficient meal management process.
- Tailored Meal Plans: Managers can enable or disable breakfast, lunch, or dinner based on dorm needs.
- Efficient Meal Tracking: Only enabled meals will be tracked and calculated.
How to Set Up Custom Meals: #
Step-by-Step Setup: #
- Log in to Dormefy:
Access Dormefy using the web or Android app. - Navigate to Dorm List:
From the left sidebar, click Dormitory > Dorm List. - Edit Dorm Settings:
Select the dorm you want to customize and click the edit icon next to it. - Enable or Disable Meals:

After selecting your desired meal setup, click Update to apply the changes. The meal setup will be instantly reflected in the dorm’s meal tracking system.
Note: #
If a meal is disabled, it will still appear in the meal count section, but the tracking mechanism will remain inactive for that meal.
Can I change the enabled meals later? #
Yes, dorm managers can update the meal settings anytime by following the same process to enable or disable specific meals.
What happens to the meal count if a meal is disabled? #
The disabled meal will no longer be tracked or calculated in the meal count, though it may still be visible in the meal count column.
By using Dormefy’s Custom Meals feature, dorm managers gain full control over their dorm’s meal setup, ensuring efficient management and a tailored approach to meal tracking and planning.
